Jon has been involved in youth work and outdoor education for the past 20 years. He is passionate about all things outdoors but particularly loves Mountain Biking and hitting the trails around Devon and Cornwall. He is a qualified Instructor/Coach for activities such as Dinghy Sailing, Snorkelling Mountain biking and Moorland walking.

Jon has been involved with Lopwell Barn from the very beginning and has seen its development from a disused bare shell to the warm inviting residential centre you see today. As the centre manager you will often see Jon at the Barn either with a group building rafts or making fires or just making sure everything is running smoothly.

Jon is also the founder member of the Ginger Prince Challenge Team which organises various expeditions to raise money for charities including The Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) and in particular the Just Giving site www.justgiving.com/FatherAbraham/

Bex House has been working in the outdoors for many years promoting the benefits of enjoying the natural world and safeguarding the environment for the future. As a keen surfer and sea swimmer she is particularly passionate about the marine environment and travelling the world to enjoy it. This affection for the outdoors means she has grown to love Lopwell asĀ an amazing place to play, learn and discover both from the water and land.

Martyn Luders

Martyn Luders

Outdoor Instructor

Martyn was born and bred in Plymouth and is passionate about the city and the surrounding outdoor spaces. He loves the Sea and competes in various Triathlons around the Southwest.

Martyn first got involved with outdoor education as an apprentice Youth Development worker at The Zone, Plymouth. From there his enthusiasm for youth work and outdoor education grew and developed. Over the years he has been involved with various expeditions including the Tall Ships race and The Three Peaks Challenge. He is a Dive Master, Yacht Master, Snorkel Instructor and Mountain Bike Leader.

Martyn is fully committed to fund raising and has recently completed the Breakwater swim for the second time. He is a founder member of the Ginger Prince Challenge Team and is planning the next expedition which is taking place soon.
